no place to stay ahh...
I probably have to bunk at my aunt's place a little longer than expected. I was suppose to move to my cousin's place by tomorrow but some unforeseen event occured. DARN~~
I was finally given a project to do. My boss tells me that I'll be doing this project for the moment until she can give me more projects to do. LOL~ My other senior collegues were concern that I was not experienced enough to handle the project but the PM was kinda delighted to be getting new manpower... I think~~ coz he was saying "We'll train you up!" lOL~
Weekends... what did I do? This morning I was almost late for my medical checkup. At first I was thinking that Tanjong Pagar was nearer than Bugis... NOT... It was another 3 stations away and I purposely woke up late since I was tired from just 2 days of work. LOL~...Most of the time, the trip going and coming back drains the energy out from me.
Came back at 11am and then went to get some rest. The medical checkup consisted of x-ray, bloodtest and the usual checkup. But you know...I felt like my HP {Health Points) dropped after the checkup. Haha. The x-ray was much better than the one in Kuching. It didn't feel as 'painful'. But the after effects was the same. DARN those radioactive waves~ You get that kind of numb feeling after a few minutes.
Hmm...blood test... eww. It was my first blood test and darn it. It only hurt after my blood was taken.
XD I'm acting kinda like a baby huh? XD
But really la. After the medical checkup so tired because I didn't have breakfast and quickly went down to eat.
Tomorrow...what will I do...
Wow! First day of work!!
It wasn't so bad afterall!
At first I thought that the first day would be horribly boring because there is nothing else to do but read manuals! BUT I WAS WRONG! XD. I'm glad I was wrong because reading manuals won't make me wake up lOL~
So what happened today? I woke up at 6am, got ready for work and left my auntie's place at ard 7am -ish. I decided to walk to the Simei MRT station like my uncle said because waiting for the #5 bus kills a lot of time. If i missed 1 it'll mean I'll have to wait another 20-30mins!!!
Since I was unfamiliar with the route I asked strangers along the way and managed to reach my destination~ phew~ luckily too! because when I reached the station, the MRT was just arriving! off I went in. The trip from Simei to Bugis took almost forever. Well~ 20-30mins~ by the time I reached the station, it was 7.45am. 15mins and I arrived at my new workplace. I should say first workplace... haha
Well, I arrived 30mins earlier than the specified working hours so I waited until the HR manager arrived. 2 other new engineers came along with me. We were brief on the staff handbook and then a tour around the company. LOL~...met the CEO~ and also other Managers and Division Head, including mine. XD
There were a couple of things to do when I was there, the EP and also setting up my computer. Luckily the computer was quick to deal with and then I was suddenly moved to the IR section a floor below. XD I didn't know I was being brought to handle a task straight away!
I was a bit unsure but the task was simple enough. You just need to concentrate and look properly and make the correct changes. I was checking the CAD draft and comparing with previous versions to see if the changes have been made or if there were any more changes that was required. OMG~ I was kinda hungry already when I was doing my work (10.30am) and things looked funny. HAHA...
But it soon passed and I was working till lunch time. Of course I met quite a feq of my collugues already and 2 of them brought me out to lunch. It was great. XD meeting them was funny and well~ XD they gave me bad tips hahaha
Went back later a bit because well~ those 2 took their time...haha
And continued checking...LoL~ after lunch it was kinda hard to concentrate and I was getting kinda sleepy...ck got my sms saying "I'm dying!" hahaha
Well~ it soon passed...after 3.30pm when I spotted some more changes which needed to be done. Asked my collegues about it and yea, I was right. Awesome~ I learned something new~ haha.
I left at 6.15pm. I couldn't find my Division Head so I told my collegues that I was leaving. XD
It was raining the whole day today and I got a bit wet...bought my pillow n quilt n lugged the big thing with me when the bus arrived. phew~ made it. since it was dark I didn't want to risk missing my stop so I stopped 1 stop earlier. It was harder than I thought when carrying these few stuff along with me. urgh.
But all ended well... dinner was a bit expensive and unexpected... I went to the wrong place for dinner. HAHA

My grandma has pushed me of the point of annoyance. From just simply being annoyed...I'd wish she never came and ruin my last days in Kuching. Guess what, I wished I would be leaving on the 7th this month which I had originally planned! Now I missed the chance. !@#$%^&*(
She doesn't listen to a word you say and does things that she wants to do (cleaning EVERYWHERE!) OMG! You're 89 for goodness sake! Can't you just relax???
My grandma was never fond of the idea that my Dad married a Foo chow. In fact she had already arranged so that my Dad would marry someone in the neighbourhood. Luckily my Dad transfered to Limbang and found my mother there. I wouldn't say my mother's life was made easy. In fact she complained about being bullied and wondered how long would it be before moving away from my Dad's family.
My grandma is kinda sinister. My Dad is the only person in his family to give my grandma monthly allowances. And what does she do with that money?! She tries to manipulate people. She buys stuff and offer to cook them and when you do eat them. She'll say oh, so you like eating my stuff huh? WTH! And from there she'll nag and nag. Normally I wouldn't bother to listen because I rather turn a death ear when she speaks to me in Hakka.
This year, my Dad tried not to give my grandma money. And guess what... She told my other relatives that my Dad was very bad and didn't give her money. And guess what... a certain cousin of mine was surprised why my Dad did not give my grandma money. =.=||| In fact, it was my cousin's father (my uncle) that suggested that my Dad not to give my grandma money.
My grandma always jumps around from one relative house to another. She's old, stubborn and does whatever she likes. Who'd restrain an old lady from doing what she wants? When you advice her not to do the cleaning, she continues to do so. And when she gets injured in the process, she blames you and tells the relatives how bad you are for letting her do all the chores!...WTH!!! What sort of drama life do you want to life in....!@#$%^&*(
I wish my grandma was like Crosby's. Mine is soo old minded that RAWR!$%#$^%^&*(
There's more to complain but it long winded and embarrassing...
So what is my current dream?
Well, I hope that I can get this job permanently for the next 5-8 years.
Plans
1) Rent an apartment!
2) Buy some furniture! (Bed, Fridge, Washing Machine, etc...)
3) Uber desktop?
Will these be possible within 5 years? I feel like it's only a dream.

Dad went to KL for work and Mum has got to work late till night. Leaving me to do the Grandma sitting. She came on Saturday and hasn't been much of a nuisance to me until today. Grandma is 89 years old...I think...she might be even older! which is kinda scary... you don't know how long she'll go but it seems to me... it's gonna be a long long time...
On a better side of my day...
My notebook from Dell arrived! After asking Dell to speed up my order, it only took them 6 days! Awesome! Some leftover oranges behind the laptop became a distraction away from the blackness of my notebook. Hahaha!
One thing I did not like about this laptop is that I did not buy it together with Vista Home Premium. It came with a Vista Home Basic since upgrading it would cost me RM111. Let me explain...It's UGLY!! I've been too used to my Vista Business that the non-aero version of this vista is kinda revolting. I made some tweaks to make it look nicer but I just couldn't get the translucent window to appear. That was when I searched around the web and found out my mistake in my purchase. Darn it!
Why the fuss you ask. I like original OS! It beats trying to fight your way thru Microsoft with pirated versions. And it's less of a hassle when you need to update your windows. Of course it is expensive. Why else would it be better than pirated stuff. ORIGINAL RULES! but money rules over everything... hahaha
Well now~ I've passed my shell interview and now I'm waiting for them to invite me for SRD. Which either can be tomorrow or after I land in Singapore.
If it is the later... then bye bye shell~~ XD
So what did I do after fixing the damn computers and HDDs...basically being a hikkikomori... haha
I bought my air ticket to Singapore for the 12 this month~
Probably lose contact...probably not...who knows...

Well...I'd like to go to amazon and shop! But argh! It probably be backlog at the customs and cause troublesome issues. So annoying. I'll probably order my stuff after I get a place to stay in Singapore. DARN...
In a way...I don't want to go to Singapore and hope that Shell quickly asks me to go to the SRD! Then I'll be in Malaysia!! The land of unlimited bandwidth and corruption? XDXDXD

Although it may be faster than Vista, it is still far from being safe from weak worms n viruses. Darn it.
My com suffered from both hardware and software issues. It was after a thunder strike that the com started going bonkers again! YES AGAIN! It happened before in Miri and it happened again when I return. It seems that I am doom to be bothered to fix the cpus at home.
After installing a fresh new WinXp onto my com, and other program files. I thought that I'd look into my external HDD from australia. Then the worse happened. A worm virus was detected. It was the same one I saw when I connected it to my bro's com. =.=|||
This suddenly shocked me because this was a freshly installed windows. How did a virus suddenly get in!? Then it hit me. There are 2 possiblities.
1) A present from Australia!!
2) It got transfered from my bro's com into my external HDD...
OMG!!
The first possibility is unlikely because all the while while I was using it with my laptop there wasn't any problems. Maybe Vista is immune to it?
I don't know which came first but all I can say is it's all my fault. I guess... a bit of self denial here...XD
I'm at my last batch of files I need to scan. Then tomorrow I'll reinstall the essential programs.
For the time being I'm using my bro's com. It's jam pack with unorganized stuff. I'd like to say JUNK. OMG... you won't believe how pack the desktop was. I should have print screen the thing before putting them all into 1 folder. XD I don't think he'll mind since he'll be gone for 2 years. Muahaha!!

=.=||| somehow I feel a little bit tulan that I couldn't get a job in Oz . Looks like my destiny is not in Oz~ XD
I just had my phone interview with Shell. Well, Shell is a good company but PB is also a good company too! Both are over 100 years old. Both demands a lot from you. Both are very interesting. One is an oil & gas company, another is a consultancy company. All very good.
In terms of pay. I'd guess it's roughly the same. Staying in s'pore equal to staying in Mal with the same pay but different currency. The only thing now I'm interested is the benefits! unfortunately both companies do not want to reveal their benefits yet. Apa pasal?!
Well~ for s'pore case, they're probably waiting for my employment pass before letting me in on their company secret. I still have another stage to pass before being accepted by Shell.
I still haven found a place to stay in s'pore. I haven't packed. I haven't done enough planning because I'm being very uncertain.
Darn so many loose end to tie.
I finally finished with what I came back to do~ renew passport~~ hmm~loL~
I don't know how long I will be staying here. My company suddenly emailed me asking me to go back to sign some stuff. Well since it was Friday and the HR sent the email at 5pm. I probably won't be able to do anything.
Ah~ So I'm finally back. Cats. Love em~ but hate the allergies that comes with it.

OMG! I'm in Singapore...
I touched down at 3.50am in the morning and did not get any proper sleep during my flight with Tiger airlines. It's basically the same as Airasia. Landed at the budget terminal...loL...It really looks like a budget terminal. Haha
~~~~The last few hours at Perth International Airport~~~~
During the last few hours at the airport, I had nothing to do and 160+ free minutes of talk time. I decided to call Crosby since he was listed in MyTime. In one call we reached about 1hour 15mins in total talk time when I decided to get ready to board. But then the plane was delayed due to "a medical emergency". loL... so another 45mins of calls was added...LOL... talked mostly crap...even went to toilet to flush my phone twice. haha
I had to wait until 5am before going to my Aunt's place to stay for the night? day? loL... In the mean time I had to stay awake and make myself learn more for the interview. Because Perth had its daylight savings, I had to wait an extra hour. Darn~ in a way, it is good that I had an extra hour to study for my interview but bad in a way that I could have used it to sleep.
I finally took a cab at 5am to my Aunty's place and arrived a bit too early for them...lOL...
slept for 3hours and I have sort of the high tired feeling...Floating...Cham ahh...
I went out for lunch just now and when the clock was about 12.10pm, OMG... a rush of office workers came rushing into the food court. Just streams and streams of people. I might add that they're 98% Chinese. I have never been surrounded by so many Chinese in my life. Somehow I felt...small?
At the same time I noticed that a lot of male Chinese workers had the same hair style as my supervisor, Dr. Kelvin Tan. LOL~~ So that's why he always comes with a spiky hair style even though he is already 35...LOL~~

Well... I'm going to Singapore on Sunday. Wish me luck on my interview. Everyone says I can do it... But I do feel a little concern especially when I'm rushing to do this interview.
